On November 1, the 1st China-US Co-production Films Retrospect, jointly sponsored by Film Bureau of State Radio and Television Administration of China and Motion Picture Association of America, and undertaken by China Film Co-production Corporation and Kentland Cinema of Maryland, was opened in Washington. This film retrospect involved 8 China-US co-productions of various styles at different times. They are Love in Space, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Shanghai, Waiting in Beijing, Restless and The Karate Kid.
