On the afternoon of December 4 local time, prior to the Closing Gala Performance of 2012 Chinese Culture Year in Turkey jointly sponsored by CFLAC, Chinese Ministry of Culture, Chinese Embassy in Turkey and Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Madame Yang Chengzhi, Vice President of CFLAC, headed a 5-member delegation to pay a special visit to Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Mr. Kemal Fahir Genç, deputy minister, met with the delegation, and both parties held a pleasant and friendly talk.

First of all, on behalf of Sun Jiazheng, President of CFLAC and Zhao Shi, Executive Vice President of CFLAC, Yang Chengzhi extended gratitude towards Turkish counterpart for great support provided for this closing gala performance and gave a high appraisal of colorful and unique history, culture and arts in Turkey. She commented that sponsoring cultural year events in each other’s country decided by leaders of both countries and involved in strategic cooperation agreement is a cultural exchange of high level and profound influence. The in-depth exchange between our two countries, time-honored yet contemporary, bears significance in safeguarding and promoting cultural diversity in the world. CFLAC is honored to undertake this closing performance and organize well-known Chinese artists and award winning to present performance in Turkey. Selected art creation with distinct Chinese character dedicating to Turkish audience conveyed the Chinese people’s friendship to Turkish people with a bond of arts. Furthermore, Yang Chengzhi introduced CFLAC and its affiliated national associations, and expressed the good will of strengthening nongovernmental cultural and art exchange with Turkish counterpart in the future. She also wished a full success of 2013 Turkish Culture Year in China. After briefine a series of brand cultural exchange events, Yang Chengzhi suggest that CFLAC interested in having China Today Arts Week in Turkey at a convenient time and warmly invite a Turkish Art Troupe to participate in the 9th China International Folk Art Festival in 2013.

At the end of meeting, both parties exchanged gifts. Yang Chengzhi presented the exquisite Scroll in Silk and Colorful Painting Palace Museum, and attendees from both countries took a group photo as memoir.
