"Pandas and their friends painting exhibition——Liu Zhong’s works” was held in Hong Kong Central Library Exhibition Hall from 17th to 20th in March. This exhibition was jointly organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Activities Committee, the Hong Kong Volunteer Association and the Hong Kong Youth United Association. The exhibition displayed a total of 80 paintings and more than 40 of them were particularly created for“Blessing Hong Kong” activity by Liu Zhong. Over the same period, the activity “meeting in Tin Shui Wai——Pandas and their classmates” came to Tin Shui Wai community on 18th, March. Artist Liu Zhong presented brushes to the residential juvenile and taught them the basic skills of painting pandas, as well as artistic enlightenment, conveying love and friendship in an artistic way.

In order to promote the exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland in cultural and artistic area, the activity made an invitation to the teenagers in Hong Kong, collecting 20 young people to participate in the activity “Kiss Pandas Sichuan summer camp”. They will go to Ya’an, the hometown of pandas, to have an intimate contact with pandas, aiming to develop the understandings of natural ecological environment and rare species of the adolescents in Hong Kong, enhance the awareness of environmental protection and animal protection, and cultivate the sense of responsibility of “Building better home starting from me”. Liu Zhong presented all the works to the universities in Hong Kong and teenagers service organization. As he said, animals are people’s friends, while pandas, friends is the natural environment and humankind, which is closely related to themselves. Only by living in a harmonious way with animals, could the pandas thrive on the earth.
