A Place without Whence or Whiter Chen Qi

　　On May 9th, the "Re-睿" of Pavilion of the P.R. of China of the 58th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia opened at the Arsenale and Giardino delle Vergini in Venice, Italy.

Ralph Rugoff, the chief curator of La Biennale di Venezia, had set the theme "May You Live in Interesting Times". Wu Hongliang, turator, based upon this theme, has chosen four artists, Chen Qi, Fei Jun, Geng Xue and He Xiangyu, whose works presented the exploration of the artists' "Re" from such three dimensions as consensus of civilization, daily life and their own perception. In the concept of exhibition space, the curator relied on both the virtual and the real world to finalise the exhibition by making the best use of the locality of the exhibition and its spatial relationship with classical Chinese gardens.

The pavilion of the P.R. of China of the 58th International Art Exhibition–La Biennale di Venezia is open until November 24th.
