From March 17 till 25, the French-speaking countries (Francophone) will sponsor the 17th Francophonic Festival where 27 French-speaking countries will promote more than hundred events open to public in several cities in China in the forms of film show, concert, lecture, exhibition, reading salon and university students competition. Initially proposed by the embassies of member countries and observer countries of OIF (Organization Internationale Francophone in French), the Francophonic Festival is currently held by some Chinese association and agency. The Festival provides a good opportunity for those participants to meet and exchange with and observe each other.
